Apps Not Available on Google Play | Try It
7 apps are not available on Google Play but are worth a try.
Usually, when a developer has finished programming a new application that works on Android devices, he goes through the process of publishing it on the Google Play Store so that it is easily available to millions of users.
But as you know, new apps have to pass a lot of tests before they are allowed to be published on the store to prevent malicious and unauthorized apps from being downloaded.
However, these rigorous tests also mean that many useful applications do not become available on the Play Store, there are applications that offer more sensitive features and features that violate the complex "Google Terms" but do not necessarily harm users.
Below we review our experience with examples of these applications.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that we have reviewed applications that are not available on Google Play, as we have previously highlighted 6 distinct Android applications that are not available on the official store, in addition to 7 worth trying applications that you can download and install manually using the APK file.
Today we want to review a batch of new applications that you will not find if you search in the Android Store.
1 Tap, Tap
Tap, Tap is a free tool that is installed on any phone running Android 7.0 and above to perform specific actions when you double-tap on the back of the phone.
The application simulates the idea of Back Tap, a feature found in iPhone phones that performs user-defined actions when clicking two or three times on the back of the phone.
So far, Tap, Tap is still under development and in the "beta" stage, but it works and works perfectly.
After the first launch of the application, you will be prompted to activate accessibility and disable battery optimizations, in order for the application to work efficiently without problems.
After you're done, you can choose "Double Tap Actions" to set up the actions for double-clicking, while you press the "Triple Tap Actions" option to tap three times to perform the specific actions, knowing that the application allows performing more than one action at once.
Of course, we tested the app and gave a full review about it in the article [Enable Back Tap on Any Android Phone] and the result was expected, as certain actions are executed by simply pressing two or three times in a row anywhere on the back of the phone, even after installing a case the back is thick, so we didn't notice any lag in the app's response to clicks during my hands-on experience.
2 SuperFreezZ App stopper
It is an application that aims to reduce the number of applications running in the background so that it saves wasted energy and at the same time prevents the occurrence of lag or slowness due to the lack of enough space on the RAM.
SuperFreezZ App stopper is completely free and open-source and once installed on your phone it starts reviewing the activities of apps that are running in the background to detect those that are not used frequently and closes them completely.
In addition, the application provides multiple ways for the user to specify what he wants to deal with applications running in the background, for example, you can force close applications that are
not in use for a week (or any number of days you specify from the settings), or close applications completely each time you In it, the screen is turned off (once you click on the side Power button), and
there is a more important option and I think that is the reason why the application is not available on the Google Play Store as SuperFreezZ allows to force the closing of applications for the Android system itself (without root).
Overall, it is an excellent app to control what is running in the background on your phone and it helps greatly in improving battery life and reducing bundle consumption.
3 LANdrop
It is a free application that allows you to easily transfer files between your Android phone and your Windows computer, provided that the devices are connected to the same internet.
LANDrop is cross-platform as it can also be used on iPhones, macOS, and Linux.
The program is easy to use and does not have a graphical interface and does not even need to be installed on the computer. It is a portable program, but for your Android phone, you will need to download the APK file and install the application manually.
To start using LANDrop and then launch its application on your Android phone and also the program on your computer.
In the application, press Devices to search for devices on the network. If the computer is connected to the same network, its name will appear in the list.
Click on it until a message appears on the computer stating that the LANDrop program needs permission to access the firewall, click Allow access to connect successfully.
You can now exchange files to/from your phone and computer. For example, to transfer files from Android to PC, press the plus sign (+) in the top bar of the application and select the photos or files you want to send, and hit Done.
Then, from the same application interface, click on Devices and select the computer you want to send files to.
After that, a confirmation message will appear on the computer, click Yes to confirm receiving the file(s).
To do the opposite, double-click the program icon from the Windows taskbar, then click the Add button, add the files you want to send, and then click Send.
Now available devices will appear, select your Android phone and press Send again. Finally, open the app and tap on Receiving, and agree to receive the files from the computer.
4 Silence App
It is a very simple application that automatically blocks phone calls from numbers that are not registered in the contacts.
If you receive a call from a strange number, your phone will not start ringing as usual as long as Silence does not detect the presence of this number among the saved contacts, whether on the phone memory or the SIM card.
The application is very simple, all you have to do is click on ACTIVATE, then select the name of the application from the list and press "Set as default application" to be responsible for filtering numbers and calls.
After doing that, if you get a call from an unknown number, it will be listed under "Blocked Random Calls" in your call history.
Note that the automatic blocking of strange numbers feature is already built into most Android phones such as Samsung and Xiaomi phones and can be activated through Call Settings.
However, Silence is still very useful as it provides some other advantages such as allowing calls from the numbers you have called and did not save in Contacts, or allowing a third call from the same number within 5 minutes so that the number will not be blocked if it tries to call several times within 5 minutes.
And other filters that can be activated so that all numbers are not completely blocked.
5 Secure File Manager app
Secure File Manager is one of the best file management apps on Android phones as it provides features that the default file manager on most phones lacks, so you can find this app in the Google Play Store.
Initially, the app comes with a straightforward and clear interface so that you get a “stacked” view of your folders on the internal or external memory (SD Card), and the best feature of the app is that you can hide any folder or file with a single click.
Secure File Manager also provides some important features such as blocking access to the application as a whole or specific folder with passwords or biometrics available in the phone, which adds an extra layer of security, in addition to the file encryption feature that allows you to secure photos and videos and prevent them from being displayed in the Gallery.
These security features clearly show how the developer of this app focuses on security unlike other apps on Google Play.
6 Blokada App
The Blokada application is not considered one of the new Android applications but rather is widely popular among Android users, although it is not available on the Google Play Store, so it can be considered a “guest of honor” in this list.
Quite simply, the goal of the app is to help users block intrusive ads that appear in apps and websites as well as block any trackers that violate your privacy via an app VPN service and DNS enforced on Wi-Fi or mobile data to provide the greatest possible control over traffic Internet in the phone thus providing a powerful and effective ad-blocking solution.
After running the application, all you have to do is click on the Power ON button to activate the VPN service.
Then go to the "Advanced Settings" section and then "Networks" to activate the protection when connecting to Wi-Fi networks or mobile data.
From the same section, you can change the default DNS and choose from a long list of other addresses.
You can also create a "whitelist" of apps that you don't want to block ads when using them, or vice versa, block certain sites and apps.
Overall, Blakada is effective in blocking ads on YouTube, Twitter, Chrome, Facebook, TikTok, and other ads within apps and games.
7 Flixoid App
In the event that you are a fan of watching movies and series online but do not have the opportunity to pay a monthly subscription for services like Netflix or Prime Video, then I will tell you that Flixoid is the best free alternative to all these paid apps.
Through this application, you can easily watch hundreds of series and movies on your smartphone, and you can download the content and store it on your phone to watch later without the Internet.
The great thing about Flixoid is that it supports Arabic subtitles and has a very simple user interface with multiple categories to find the content that suits your taste without a lot of searching.
